FREEMAN EARNS SECOND MSFA DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONOR

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – No. 17 Olivet Nazarene University linebacker Jason Freeman, on Monday, was awarded his second Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Midwest Defensive Player of the Year selection.

The Zion, Ill. native had another stellar game in front of a sold-out crowd on Homecoming Saturday.  Freeman amassed 14 total tackles, which is the sixth time this season where Freeman reached double-digit tackle totals.  Freeman also picked off Missouri Baptist quarterback Josh Munn once and recorded a pair of pass breakups.  Freeman leads the conference and is second in the league with 13.3 tackles a game.

The No. 17 Tigers travel to Joliet for a MSFA Midwest clash with the Fighting Saints of University of St. Francis on Saturday, October 30.  Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
