TIGERS SWEEP FIGHTING SAINTS 4-0 TO OPEN CONFERENCE PLAY

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - Olivet Nazarene University men's tennis opened conference play by earning a 4–0 victory over St. Francis (Ill.) on Saturday in matches played at the Snowbarger Athletic Complex. 

The Tigers started doubles with a forfeit win in the third doubles match, so only one more doubles win was needed to earn the point. A decisive 6–0 win from Adam Hartford and Keenan Haws at No. 2 doubles secured the doubles point for Olivet. The No. 1 doubles pairing of Chatton Haws and Paul Saleh were leading 3-2 when the match was called due to the doubles point already being secured by ONU. 

In singles play, Olivet once again started with a commanding lead due to forfeits in matches No. 5 and No. 6. In the No. 1 singles match, Chatton Haws secured the decisive point for Olivet with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep. In matches that went unfinished, Saleh led 6-1, 4-0 in No. 2 singles, Martin Melnizky led 6-1, 5-0 in No. 3 singles.
