ONU SWIMMING & DIVING SHINES AT 2026 KCAC CHAMPIONSHIPS

HOBART, Ind. – The Olivet Nazarene University swimming & diving teams delivered a standout performance at the 2026 KCAC Championships, held February 4–7 at the Hobart Aquatic Center, as the ONU men finished second overall and the ONU women placed third in the team standings. The Tigers' performance at the championship meet was highlighted by multiple individual titles, relay victories, and a KCAC meet record.

 

Men's Highlights

The ONU men tallied 669 team points and were powered by a dominant championship meet from Co-KCAC Male Swimmers of the Meet, Jack Fries and Jacob Fincher. Fries captured three individual conference titles, winning the 200 IM, 100 backstroke, and 100 freestyle. His performance in the 100 backstroke was especially notable, as he set a new KCAC meet record with a time of 49.66. Fincher added three individual championships of his own, claiming victories in the 500 freestyle, 100 butterfly, and 200 butterfly, while consistently anchoring key relays.

ONU also excelled in relay events, winning both the 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay. The Tigers added runner‑up finishes in the 800 freestyle relay, 200 medley relay, and 400 medley relay, scoring critical points throughout the meet.

Additional podium finishes and scoring swims came from Caleb Norling, Ethan Holwerda, Luke Johnson, Porter Hoffman, Aleks Parsetich, David Gann, and Oliver Shead, as ONU showcased depth across all distances and strokes.

 

Women's Highlights

The ONU women finished with 609 points, earning third place overall behind a series of individual victories and relay podiums. Katelyn Inman led the way with a conference championship in the 200 backstroke and was a key contributor on multiple relays. Mackenzie Bushey delivered a standout meet, winning both the 100 and 200 breaststroke events. Kayla Parry claimed the 200 butterfly title, while Taylor King earned gold in the 100 butterfly.

ONU's women were also consistent in relay competition, finishing second in the 800 freestyle relay, 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay, and 400 freestyle relay, while tying for third in the 200 freestyle relay.

Strong scoring performances were added by Alyssa Osborn, Mia Points, Skyler Chandlee, Kelli Moore, Georgia Harrelson, Abigail Pitts, and Daphney Townley, highlighting the Tigers' depth across sprint, middle‑distance, and distance events.
