TIGERS STIFLED IN 0-0 DRAW WITH REDHAWKS

BOURBONNAIS. Ill. - Olivet Nazarene University's (ONU) men's soccer team fought hard but was unable to break through in a 0-0 draw against the Indiana University Northwest Redhawks on Saturday at home. Despite ONU's relentless attacking efforts, the Redhawks' defense held firm, frustrating the Tigers throughout the match and earning both teams a point in conference play.

From the opening whistle, the Tigers were on the offensive, pressing high and controlling much of the possession. Despite their aggressive approach, the Redhawks' defense proved impenetrable, blocking shots and clearing crosses to keep ONU off the scoresheet. As the match wore on, the Tigers continued to apply pressure, but Indiana Northwest's backline stood tall and kept the game scoreless.

The Tigers' all-out attack continued in the second half, but tempers flared late in the match when Alvaro Bonet received a red card in the 82nd minute, forcing ONU to play the final stretch with 10 men. Even down a player, the Tigers pushed for a late winner, but the Redhawks' defense remained unbroken, and the match ended in a 0-0 stalemate.

Looking Ahead

The Tigers will regroup as they prepare for their next home conference match against Governors State University on October 2nd, at 4 p.m. CST. ONU will look to reignite their offense and turn their relentless play into a much-needed win in front of their home fans.
