TIGERS SWIMMING & DIVING TEAM COMPETE STRONGLY AT WHEATON INVITE

WHEATON, Ill. — Olivet Nazarene University delivered a strong all-around performance at the Wheaton Swimming and Diving Invitational on December 4–5, highlighted by multiple podium finishes, event victories, and depth across both the men's and women's squads.

The women's team was led by several standout performances, including Kayla Parry, who captured first place in the 100-yard butterfly with a winning time of 58.39. Mackenzie Bushey posted multiple top finishes, earning fourth in the 400 IM and placing second in the 100 breaststroke. Distance swimmer Katelyn Inman added a runner-up finish in the 1650-yard freestyle, turning in one of the Tigers' strongest endurance performances of the meet.

Olivet also showed depth in relay events, earning podium finishes in both the 200 and 400 medley relays, while placing multiple swimmers into championship and consolation finals across freestyle, backstroke, and individual medley events.

On the men's side, the Tigers posted strong results in sprint and medley events. Jacob Fincher secured a third-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle, while Caleb Norling added a podium performance in the 200 butterfly and multiple finals appearances throughout the meet. Alejandro Arteaga Restrepo contributed key points in breaststroke events, and Ollie Shead recorded a top-five finish in the 100 backstroke.

In diving, Caleb Englert highlighted the meet for Olivet by winning the men's 1-meter diving event with a finals score of 182.25.

Olivet Nazarene finished third overall on the women's side and fourth on the men's side in a competitive field featuring several nationally ranked programs. The Tigers' performances showcased strong depth, versatility, and momentum as the season continues.
