TIGERS EXTEND WIN STREAK TO EIGHT WITH DOMINANT SWEEP OF TRINITY

Trinity Christian (IL.) - Tigers put together one of its most complete days of the season, sweeping Trinity Christian behind a combined 25 runs, sharp pitching, and relentless pressure on both sides of the ball. Across the two games, the Tigers controlled the tempo from the first inning on, using explosive innings, clean defense, and standout performances from multiple hitters to stay firmly in the CCAC race.

After falling behind 1–0 in the first, the Tigers immediately seized control with a two-run second and a four-run third, capitalizing on Trinity's defensive miscues and stringing together quality at-bats. Jacob York delivered the early blow with a two-RBI single, and the offense never slowed from there. The middle innings became a full-on avalanche. Landon Holt, Troy Vosburgh, and Mason Bogan each drove in multiple runs, with Bogan adding a two-run single and a stolen base as part of a three-RBI day. Jude Coursey reached three times and knocked in a run, while Connor Janik doubled home another during a five-run fifth that broke the game wide open. On the mound, Camden Kearney was steady and efficient once again, tossing six innings of five-hit ball to improve to 3–0. Andrew Boldt closed the door with a clean seventh.

The Tigers completed the sweep in convincing fashion, riding a fast start and a dominant outing from Luke Shoven to a 9–2 win over Trinity Christian. After the Trolls opened the scoring in the first, the Tigers immediately answered with a two-run single from Landon Holt, who finished with three hits and three RBI to pace the offense. Olivet kept the pressure on, adding two more in the third and three in the fourth as Mason Bogan sparked multiple rallies with a pair of hits, two RBI, and three runs scored. Alex Seaton chipped in with a two-RBI day, including a sacrifice fly, while Jacob York scored twice and swiped a base. Shoven took it from there, turning in one of his sharpest performances of the season. The right-hander went the distance, striking out eight and allowing just one earned run on six hits to move to 2–2.

Olivet extends their win streak to eight games, improving to 16-8 in conference play and 20-18 overall. The Tigers look to keep rolling as they look forward to a four game series with Saint Xavier this weekend.
