TIGERS RECORD SECOND CONSECUTIVE SCORELESS DRAW

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene University women's soccer team picked up its third consecutive draw to open conference play with a scoreless draw at Holy Cross Saturday evening.

The first half began with Olivet Nazarene establishing an attacking presence early. Aaliyah Racadio-Kahoohanohano led the offensive efforts with multiple attempts on goal, though her shots were met with solid defensive saves from Holy Cross, including key interventions by Sofia Brodar and Abigail Fouts. Meegan Randall kept a strong presence in goal for the Tigers, registering crucial saves to deny the Saints' scoring attempts.

Despite several corner opportunities and consistent pressure, Olivet Nazarene was unable to break through the Holy Cross defense. The half concluded with both teams locked in a scoreless draw, setting the stage for a competitive second half.

The second half began with the Tigers pressing for a breakthrough, as Sofia Diaz delivered a corner kick in the 52nd minute leading to a shot by Mia Kelly that was saved by Holy Cross's goalkeeper Janiah Juarez. Despite several attempts on goal, including shots by Kennadi Thiessen and Samantha Larsen, Juarez proved resilient in the net, denying Olivet Nazarene multiple times.

Olivet Nazarene continued to control much of the action, with Arabelle Laurent and Cassidy Garberding both sending shots high over the bar, and Marisa Lopez also testing Juarez with a shot on target. Defensively, the Tigers held firm, countering the Saints' advances and maintaining pressure.

The half concluded with Olivet Nazarene unable to convert their numerous chances into a goal, resulting in a goalless draw as the match ended 0-0.

Meegan Randall posted a shutout with two saves over 90 minutes in goal. Racadio-Kahoohanohano led the team with five shots, four of which were on target. Larsen recorded two shots on goal, contributing to the team's offensive efforts. Lopez added a shot on goal, maintaining pressure on the opposing defense.

The Tigers hold a record of 2-0-4 overall and 0-0-3 in conference play. They will travel to Mount Mary Wednesday afternoon.
