Olivet opened the game with a commanding start, quickly establishing a lead with a 3-pointer by Mya Skelton assisted by Lindsey Nell at 9:52. They maintained pressure throughout the quarter, capitalizing on turnovers by the Blue Angels and converting them into points, including a steal and jumper by Brooklyn Marshall at 7:34. The Tigers' bench contributed significantly, adding 7 points, while the team collectively forced 14 turnovers from Mount Mary. By the end of the first quarter, Olivet Nazarene led 34–12.

ONU continued their excellence in the fourth quarter, highlighted by a decisive run that included three consecutive 3-pointers from Brookelynn Buzzard and Skelton. Buzzard's shots at 4:36 and 4:17, followed by Skelton's at 1:28, effectively expanded their lead. Marshall also contributed with an And 1 basket.
