TIGERS ROAR INTO FIRST PLACE AFTER EXPLOSIVE FOUR-GAME SWEEP
TIGERS ROAR INTO FIRST PLACE AFTER EXPLOSIVE FOUR-GAME SWEEP

Viterbo (WI) - Olivet Nazarene rolled through its fourgame set at Viterbo with complete control, pairing explosive offense with steady, efficient pitching from start to finish. Across the series, the Tigers set the tone early in nearly every game, capitalized on big innings, and showcased the depth of a lineup that stayed hot all weekend. With dominant run production, aggressive baserunning, and multiple standout performances on the mound, ONU turned the trip into a statement stretch and continued building momentum down the final stretch of the season.

In game one, Tyler Snoreck was the story of the day, throwing a completegame threehitter with nine strikeouts and no walks allowed. He kept Viterbo quiet outside of a solo homer in the sixth, giving the Tigers every chance to break through. ONU finally did in the ninth. Alex Seaton delivered the goahead RBI single, scoring Mason Bogan, and moments later Luke Nicholaus stole home to add insurance. Bogan and Nicholaus combined for three runs, setting the table all afternoon.

In game two, the Tigers jumped ahead 2–0 in the first thanks to a Troy Vosburgh RBI single and an aggressive steal of home by Alex Seaton. After Viterbo chipped away, ONU broke a 2–1 game open in the seventh: Jacob York singled in a run, Luke Nicholaus followed with an RBI double, and Landon Holt added another runscoring knock to make it 5–1. Luke Shoven set the tone on the mound with 5.1 innings of onerun ball, and although Viterbo rallied late, Owen Roberts closed it out to secure the win. Bogan, Nicholaus, and York each scored, and the Tigers' ninehit day proved just enough.

Olivet exploded offensively and never looked back, overwhelming Viterbo 22–1 in game three. The Tigers put up eight runs in the first inning and piled on from there, finishing with 19 hits and 22 RBI. Alex Seaton led the charge with a 3hit, 4RBI day, while Landon Holt added three hits and three RBI of his own. Mason Bogan drove in three, Luke Nicholaus knocked in two, and nearly every spot in the lineup contributed as ONU scored in five different innings — including a sevenrun fourth and a threerun seventh. On the mound, Qade Carrington was steady and efficient, throwing a complete game with just one run allowed on five hits while striking out six.

Olivet Nazarene closed out the trip to Viterbo with another steady, commanding win, taking the finale 5–1 behind efficient offense and a complete performance from Nicholas Gniedziejko. The Tigers struck early with two runs in the first, highlighted by an RBI groundout from Alex Seaton and a runscoring single from Landon Holt. After Viterbo cut the lead to one, ONU answered with two more in the fourth on backtoback wild pitches, then added insurance in the fifth when Connor Janik launched a solo homer. Gniedziejko handled the rest, going the distance with seven innings of fivehit, onerun ball while striking out six. Ten different Tigers recorded hits, and ONU's aggressive baserunning helped keep pressure on throughout.

Olivet completes the four-game sweep at Viterbo with complete command, finishing the trip on a dominant note and carrying all the momentum in their last conference series of the year.  Most importantly, the sweep vaulted the Tigers into first place in the CCAC, a wellearned position after a statement weekend on the road. Olivet looks ahead to their season finale against Grand View, hoping to hold onto their first place spot in the conference.
