THE TROLLS HOT SHOOTING STUNS THE TIGERS ON THE ROAD

PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. — Olivet Nazarene (13-6, 9-2) fell to Trinity Christian (10-9, 7-4) by a score of 85-66 on Wednesday at DeVos Gym.

Olivet Nazarene started the game with a series of buckets, including a tip-in by Eli Edwards at 18:28 and a layup by Keagen Holder at 17:25, keeping the score tight. The Tigers then tied the game at 15–15 with a layup by Edwards at 13:09, assisted by Holder, showcasing their ability to respond to Trinity Christian's early lead. However, despite making 15 field goals and four 3-pointers, the first half concluded with Olivet trailing 46–35.

Olivet Nazarene displayed resilience in the second half, narrowing the gap. Edwards led the charge with consistent scoring, including a layup at 14:00 and a jumper at 12:16. Holder contributed with both assists and crucial steals, helping Olivet Nazarene to capitalize on turnovers by Trinity Christian.

Despite their efforts, the Tigers faced a formidable response from the Trolls, who maintained their lead through effective shooting beyond the arc, shooting 53% on 14. The game ended with the Trolls stealing a big conference win.

Eli Edwards led the team with 27 points, converting all seven of his free throw attempts and shooting 66.7% from the field. Holder contributed 10 points and recorded six assists while also collecting three steals. Trent Rayborn brought a spark off the bench, scoring 10 points on 100% shooting, including two 3-pointers. Andrew Bennett added four assists and two steals, helping to bolster the team's defensive efforts.

Olivet Nazarene stands at 13-6 overall with a 9-2 record in conference play. Trinity Christian holds a 10-9 overall record and is 7-4 in conference competition.
