TIGERS RESPOND WITH STRONG FINISH IN SERIES FINALE

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. — The Tigers wrapped up a three-game conference series against St. Francis (IL), falling in the first two contests before bouncing back with a strong pitching performance to secure a 1–0 win in the finale.

In game one, the Tigers opened with early momentum at Tiger Field. RyLyn Adams reached on a single and later scored on a double from Stephanie Hause to give the Tigers a 1–0 lead in the first inning. The Tigers recorded seven hits, including three doubles, but were unable to capitalize on additional opportunities. St. Francis tied the game in the third and took the lead in the fifth before pulling away in the seventh. Tigers was held to just the one run in the 6–1 loss.

In game two, the Tigers struggled to slow down St. Francis' offense in a 15–1 defeat. Tigers showed flashes offensively with three doubles, including one from Gaetana Calo, who later scored the team's lone run on a double by Christa Contreras in the fourth inning. Despite the effort, the Tigers were unable to recover from an early deficit.

Tigers responded in game three with a tightly contested 1–0 victory, improving to 23-19 (13-9 CCAC). The Tigers relied on timely hitting and a dominant outing in the circle. After six scoreless innings, Analeah Ramirez reached base and advanced into scoring position before a pinch-hit single from RayElle Brennan set the stage. Adams delivered the game-winning hit with an RBI single to score Ramirez for the only run of the game.

Victoria Strines led the way with a complete-game shutout, allowing six hits while striking out two. Her performance secured her tenth win of the season and anchored a strong defensive effort by the Tigers.

Tigers showed resilience throughout the series, closing it out with a statement win behind clutch hitting and standout pitching.
