SCHMIDT LANDS WEEKLY ACCOLADES WITH NEAR TRIPLE-DOUBLE
CHICAGO, Ill. – A near-triple-double has earned Olivet Nazarene University's Tyler Schmidt Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week recognition for the seven-day period ending Nov. 26, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Schmidt, the defending CCAC Player of the Year, opened the 2023-24 league season with 17 points, 14 assists, seven rebounds, two blocks and one steal in a 92-69 victory over Saint Xavier University last Tuesday. The 14 assists were a career high for the senior guard.
The contest was the only one on the week for the NAIA No. 15-ranked Tigers, who are 5-1 to begin the campaign.
