WHITEWATER, Wis.  The Olivet Nazarene University men's tennis team competed in the UW-Whitewater Warhawk Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

In doubles play, the team of Alex Verdu and Francisco Faria dropped their opening match.  Then, the Tiger duo won their next two matches to earn a consolation bracket victory.  The team of Brian Victoria Ayala and Carlo Cota Vargas settled for a seventh-place crown to wrap up the #1 doubles draw.  In the #2 doubles draw, the team of Kyle Lingle and Juan Diaz Banuls defeated Bryce Ranchero and James Carr to win seventh place.  In the #3 doubles draw, Nicholas Bailey and Tim Hidalgo earned a consolation victory winning, 6-4. 

In the singles play, Faria defeated a pair of Cardinal Stritch opponents to win the bracket, 6-1 and 6-4.  In the #3 singles draw, Ranchero defeated his counterpart in the consolation semifinals but was unable to carry that momentum and dropped his consolation final match, 6-3 and 7-6 (7).  In the #4 singles draw, Bailey won seventh place over Zack Cho from Lake Forest, 6-4 and 6-3.
