MEN'S TENNIS RECORDS SHUTOUT AT SAINT AMBROSE

DAVENPORT, Iowa. – The Olivet Nazarene University men's tennis team moved to 2-0 in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) play as they shutout Saint Ambrose, 7-0, on Wednesday.

 

The Tigers did not drop a match in doubles play as the teams of Curt Seifert and Jonathan Hentschel and Francisco Faria and Brian Victoria Ayala won their matches 6-2, while the team of Juan Diaz Banuls and Carlos Gomez won their match, 6-1.  The Tigers earned that elusive first point of the match. 

 

In singles' play, both Faria, Carlo Cota Vargas, and Davi Toledo won their matches, 6-0, 6-0. The score stood at 4-0.  Hentschel then won his match, 6-1, 6-1, while Victoria Ayala and Diaz Banuls both won their matches as well.

The Tigers look to move to 3-0 in CCAC play as they host the Wolves of Cardinal Stritch on Monday, April 11th.  The match starts at 3 p.m. at the Snowbarger Athletic Complex Tennis Courts.
