CHICAGO, Ill. – After authoring four victories over the weekend, Olivet Nazarene University's Chatton Haws has been named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Haws claimed two wins on Friday over Prairie State, teaming up with Andres Viedma for a 6-1 win in the No. 2 doubles match before holding on for a 3-6, 6-0, 10-3 supertiebreaker win in the top singles match.
Then, on Saturday against Indiana Institute of Technology, the sophomore paired up with Viedma again at No. 2 doubles for a 6-4 victory before capturing his No. 1 singles match 6-3, 6-1.
The pair of 7-0 victories improved the Tigers to 6-3 on the season.
