CHICAGO, Ill. --- Olivet Nazarene University's Tomas Gonzalez (Bogota, Columbia) secured his second Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's volleyball weekly honor, while Thoralf Schmelzer (Germany) notched his first when the league office made the announcement for performances during the seven-day period covering Feb. 20-26 on Tuesday.

Schmelzer was recognized as the CCAC Attacker of the Week after registering a school single-match record 21 kills in a four-set victory over Calumet College of St. Joseph on Thursday.  In the same contest, the freshman outside hitter also attacked at a .444 clip and posted nine digs and two aces.

Gonzalez, meanwhile, was named the CCAC Setter of the Week for the second straight week after totaling 41 assists (10.3 avg.) in the four-set win over Calumet St. Joseph.  The freshman also provided seven blocks in the victory.

The contest was the only one on the week for the Tigers, who are 10-3 overall and 5-1 in the league.
