CHICAGO, Ill. – Olivet Nazarene University's Jake Ostema (Orland Park, Ill.) was named the Attacker of the Week in this edition of awards presented by the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. The announcement was made on Tuesday morning by the league office.

Ostema collected his second CCAC weekly award for 2023 by racking up 39 kills and registering a .561 attack percentage for the seven-day period ending March 12.  The senior middle hitter averaged 3.0 kills per set and also totaled four blocks.

Ostema's biggest performance of the week came last Tuesday when the Tigers scored a four-set win over league-rival Judson University.  In the match, he delivered 15 kills on a .500 attack percentage and four digs.

Two days later, Ostema produced 11 kills against only one error in 16 chances (.625) in a sweep of Park University Gilbert (Ariz.).  He also notched nine kills on a .538 hitting clip in a match against NCAA I Grand Canyon University (Ariz.) on Friday.

Olivet Nazarene went 2-2 on the week and is now 15-5 overall and 9-1 when facing league competition.
