KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the second consecutive year, Olivet Nazarene University's Zontavius Johnson has been named the NAIA Women's Indoor Track & Field National Assistant Coach of the Year. Johnson, now in his third season with the Tigers, played a pivotal role in ONU's success, leading his sprinters and hurdlers to standout performances at the 2025 NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Under Johnson's guidance, ONU athletes accounted for all 32 of the team's points at the national meet. Hannah Antkoviak delivered a historic performance, setting an NAIA record in the 600 meters with a time of 1:29.49—also marking her as the tenth-fastest woman in collegiate history. Antkoviak contributed 16.5 points, securing a national title in the 600 meters, placing fourth in the 60-meter hurdles, and running a key leg on the Tigers' national championship-winning 4x400 relay team.
Johnson's leadership continues to elevate ONU's program on the national stage, reinforcing his reputation as one of the top assistant coaches in the NAIA. His back-to-back national honors reflect the consistent excellence of the Tigers' sprint and hurdle groups under his direction.
