KANSAS CITY, Mo. – In a much-anticipated announcement on Monday by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Olivet Nazarene University men's soccer standout, midfielder Atjon Thaqi, has been named to the distinguished All-American Third Team.
As a freshman from Switzerland, Thaqi led the team with 21 goals and 15 assists, for a total of 57 points over the span of his 22-game season. His 21 goals placed him fifth in the NAIA, while his 15 assists and 57 points placed him third in the NAIA in each respective category.
This recognition for Thaqi comes on the heels of already claiming multiple conference honors: Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, Midfielder of the Year, and First-Team All-CCAC.
Behind Thaqi's offensive explosion, the Tigers finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 19-3-1, were undefeated in conference play, and won a game in the national tournament for the first time since 2012.
