CHICAGO, Ill. – Olivet Nazarene University's Evan Pogioli's performances during the seven-day period ending April 6 has earned him the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week honors, the league office announced on Tuesday morning.

Pogioli reached base nine times in 17 at-bats for a .529 on-base percentage, while also being successful on half of his 14 official plate appearances with seven hits.  Three of those hits went for extra bases (two doubles, one home run) resulting in an .857 slugging percentage.

The senior first baseman also drove in five runs, while scoring four times himself.  Defensively, he was perfect in all 37 of his opportunities.

Pogioli led the team to a 3-1 record against Calumet of St. Joseph during the week, collecting two hits in three of the four games and producing hits in all four contests.  He also drove in at least one run in each of the final three games of the series topped by his three-RBI effort in a 17-8, second-game victory on Sunday.  In that outing, his two hits went for a double and home run.

With the series victory, Olivet Nazarene is now 13-9 in league play and 17-16 overall.
