AUSTIN, Texas – For the second consecutive year, Olivet Nazarene University's Jack Fries earned recognition for his efforts in the classroom and in the pool when he was named to the NAIA Men's Swimming & Diving Academic All-America Team, as voted on by College Sports Communicators (CSC). Fries was one of just 10 student-athletes named to the first team.
The CSC Academic All-America Team is comprised of student-athletes from NAIA institutions, who are selected based on their work athletically and in the classroom. Nominees must be starters or important reserves, sophomores or older, with at least 3.50 cumulative grade point averages (GPA).
Fries, a junior from Fenton, Mich., earns his second-straight selection to the CSC's first team. He earned an NAIA All-American finish at the 2025 national championships, touching the wall at 1:51.03 to place seventh in the 200-yard IM. Fries also swept all three of his individual events at the KCAC Championships, earning himself the KCAC Male Swimmer of the Meet award while setting the new conference record in the 200-yard IM. He is majoring in Engineering at Olivet Nazarene University.
Fries led the Tigers to a 12th-place finish at the 2025 NAIA National Championship meet and to their fourth consecutive KCAC conference title. He becomes the first Tiger to be named a CSC Academic All-American this year.
