BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - Olivet Nazarene University has announced Caleb Johnson as the interim head coach of the women's basketball program. Johnson brings a strong passion for student-athlete development, competitive excellence, and Christian higher education to the Tigers as he assumes leadership of the program.
A 2018 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University, Johnson continued his education at Olivet Nazarene University, where he earned his master's degree while serving as a graduate assistant on the women's basketball staff. Upon completion of his graduate work, Johnson transitioned into an assistant coaching role, a position he has held for the past six years. His long-standing involvement with the program has provided him with valuable experience and a deep understanding of the culture, expectations, and traditions of ONU women's basketball.
Johnson has earned a reputation as a dedicated coach and mentor, committed to helping student-athletes grow both on the court and in their personal and spiritual lives. His experience within collegiate athletics and familiarity with the mission of Olivet Nazarene University position him well to guide the program during this transition.
As interim head coach, Johnson will oversee all aspects of the women's basketball program, including player development, recruiting, practice planning, and game preparation. He will work to build on the program's tradition of success while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence.
