KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A first-place finish at their home meet has propelled the Olivet Nazarene University women's cross country team to the No. 20 spot in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Rating. The league office announced its first regular-season rankings Thursday morning.

The Tigers opened the season with a runner-up team finish at the Lewis Early Bird before following up with a meet win at their home event, the Midwest Classic, last Friday.

ONU has been led by senior standout Heidi Heldt. The Weldon, Ill., native placed second in the 78-runner field at Lewis and bested the field by over 30 seconds at the Midwest Classic. Heldt has twice been named the CCAC Women's Country Runner of the Week so far this season.

The Tigers will look to build off their early momentum at Louisville Classic on Oct. 4.
