BOURBONNAIS, Ill. — Olivet Nazarene University goalkeeper Cedric Kunzli has been named the CCAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week following a commanding performance in Saturday's shutout win over Trinity Christian.
Kunzli recorded a clean sheet with two key saves, showcasing his sharp reflexes and aerial dominance. Though he hasn't faced heavy pressure throughout the season, this match saw him at his busiest, rising to the occasion with multiple aerial claims and calm, confident distribution from the back.
"Cedric's composure and command in the box were exceptional," the coaching staff shared. "He's been a steady presence all season, and this game really highlighted his ability to step up when needed."
The award recognizes Kunzli's growing impact in the CCAC and his role in anchoring a resilient Tigers defense. With momentum building and Kunzli leading from the back, Olivet Nazarene looks poised to make a strong push as the season progresses.
