BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – After a big performance in the toughest matchup of the season, Olivet Nazarene University's Christian Dhue-Reid has been named the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Midwest League Offensive Player of the Week. The league office announced its weekly awards Monday afternoon.
The senior quarterback was red-hot in the team's near-upset over No. 5-ranked Indiana Wesleyan Saturday, throwing for 277 yards and three touchdowns in the 28-27 loss. Dhue-Reid also rushed the ball 10 times for 55 yards and a score.
This marks the first-career MSFA Player of the Week award for the Detroit, Mich., native.
Dhue-Reid and the Tigers will return to action Saturday afternoon against Siena Heights at Ward Field.
