BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene University men's basketball team will begin postseason play Tuesday when they travel to Indiana South Bend in the quarterfinal round of the CCAC Tournament. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. CST.
The Tigers closed out the regular season with five consecutive conference wins to finish fifth in the league standings with a 13-7 CCAC record. St. Francis (Ill.) and Indiana Northwest shared the season crown both holding 16-4 league records, with the former claiming the top seed due to tiebreakers.
The Titans ended the regular season with a 17-11 record, including a 14-6 mark in the CCAC play. IU South Bend tied Saint Xavier for third place in the conference, but due to more tiebreakers, the Titans earned the No. 4 seed in the tournament.
ONU defeated IUSB in their long regular-season matchup, toppling the Titans 85-80 last week inside McHie Arena on Feb. 19. Caleb Corro (25) and Eli Edwards (23) combined for 58 points to lead the Tigers to victory.
The winner will face the victor of the Saint Francis (Ill.)-St. Ambrose matchup in a semifinal Thursday. The championship game will be played Saturday, Mar. 1.
