NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Luke Martin shot a collegiate-best 72 to finish runner-up individually and lead the Olivet Nazarene University men's golf team at their fall finale, the Saints Classic, played at Warren Golf Course Monday and Tuesday.
Martin opened with a 76 before firing his 2-over 72, the third-best round of the tournament. His 8-over 148 earned him sole possession of second place individually and landed him on the all-tournament team.
Jack Rimington nearly missed the top 10 at the Saints Classic, finishing in a tie for 12th with a 156 (76-80). Jack Busch showcased his consistency with back-to-back rounds of 80 to tie for 19th. Chris Brown recorded rounds of 80 and 82 to place 23rd to wrap up the ONU scoring.
Mason Uden at 174 (91-83) and Joseph Luchtenburg at 183 (93-100) both played rounds for the Tigers, as well.
The Tigers' utilized their consistency at the Saints Classic, following up their opening-round 312 with a 314 on Tuesday to place third in the 11-team tournament.
