WHITTINGTON, Ill. – Jack Rimington made the all-tournament team to lead the Olivet Nazarene University men's golf team to a runner-up finish at the Conference Clash played at Rend Lake Monday and Tuesday.
The junior from Oswego, Ill., opened the tournament with an 80 before knocking four strokes off his second round for the team's best round of the event at 76 to earn his spot on the all-tournament team in a tie for third place.
Luke Martin and Chris Brown both improved on their second rounds as well to join Rimington in the top 10. Martin shot an 82 Monday before improving to a 77 Tuesday to tie for eighth with Brown, who shot 80-79 to card the 159.
Jack Busch rounded out the ONU scoring with a 163, carding consistent rounds of 81 and 82 to finish in a four-way tie for 12th. Hunter Trainer fired a 165 to place 17th overall.
Austin Marcier earned a top 10 finish while playing individually for ONU, shaving four shots off his second round for a 162 (83-79) to tie for 10th. Mason Uden also competed for the Tigers.
After opening with a 323, ONU took 10 strokes off their second round for a final score of 636 to place runner-up at the four-team event. Missouri Baptist took the team crown at 613.
The Tigers will host another tournament next week at the Spring Tiger Invite.
