HELDT AND ROBINSON EARN CCAC INDOOR TRACK & FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK HONORS

CHICAGO, Ill. - A pair of Olivet Nazarene University student athletes earned more CCAC Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors for the seven-day period ending Feb. 1.

On the women's side, Heidi Heldt (Weldon, Ill.) powered the Tigers to a strong showing. Heldt captured each of her races at ONU's own Invitational on Friday. She posted a time of 2:54.19 in the 1,000-meter race, which currently stands as the second-fastest 'A' standard performance in the event in all of NAIA. Heldt also recorded a time of 2:16.32 in the 800 meters, meeting the 'B' standard and ranking as the seventh-fastest mark in the event.

Marcus Robinson (Mableton, Ga.) delivered a standout week of competition and claimed the field award for the second time this season after setting a new ONU freshman record in the weight throw. His winning mark of 17.55 meters at the ONU Invitational not only topped a 24-athlete field, but also met the NAIA 'B' standard and ranked 24th nationally at the time of the performance. Robinson continued his strong showing by placing third in the shot put among 30 competitors with a throw of 15.60 meters, highlighting his versatility across multiple throwing events.
