BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – For the second consecutive week, junior Taylor Vallangeon was awarded Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Male Runner of the Week as the league announced its selections on Wednesday.
Vallangeon placed first at the Olivet Nazarene University Midwest Intercollegiate last Friday, clocking a time of 25:44.50. The Columbus, Ohio native finished 14 seconds ahead of fellow Tiger Enrique Romo to clinch the individual crown for the Tigers. He also helped the Tigers finish atop of the team leaderboard, finishing with 27 points.
The Tigers enjoy an off weekend before traveling to Louisville, Ky. for the Louisville XC Classic at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park on Saturday, October 2nd. The men's race is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. CST.
