SANIF, FREDIN COLLECT CCAC WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL WEEKLY HONORS

CHICAGO, Ill. – Olivet Nazarene University's Sabrina Sanif and Analiese Fredin have made up two-thirds of this week's edition of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's volleyball weekly honorees, as the league announced Tuesday.

A 1.17 blocks-per-set average sparked Sanif to CCAC Defender of the Week accord. The junior middle hitter registered 14 blocks all told for the week with six being solo and the other eight assisted. She also averaged 2.0 kills per set and attacked at a .286 clip.

Sanif collected six blocks and ten kills in a four-set loss to Saint Xavier University last Tuesday before totaling nine kills and three blocks in a five-set loss at the hands of Judson University on Thursday. She closed out the week hitting at a .364 rate with five kills against only one error in 11 chances and notching five blocks in a three-set win versus Emmaus University (Iowa) on Saturday.

Fredin capped off the honor roll with her CCAC Setter of the Week recognition. She averaged 7.33 assists, 1.83 digs and 1.0 aces per set over the Tigers' three matches to go along with 13 kills.

The junior opened the week with a double-double of 38 assists and 16 digs in the four-set loss to Saint Xavier. She had another 36 assists, five aces, four kills and three digs against Judson.

Fredin then ended the week with 14 assists and the same number of aces, kills and digs as the Judson match in the win over Emmaus.

Olivet Nazarene moved to 2-3 in the CCAC and 3-14 overall with its 1-2 week.
